Pam and Paul Visit
Pam and Paul arrive in LA, happy but a little blurry.
Of course we took them straight up to 6,000ft, and they remained happy and blurry.
We then took them home, where the sisters did some serious planning.
After some sleep we took them to IHOP, where we ate too many eggs.
Later, we went to LA docks, where we got completely lost but found an oil field.
Still lost in the port of LA, but photo opportunities abounded.
They sell the strangest things in Santa Monica.
The pier is nice though, as are the sunsets over the water.
There is even a red glow over the city. Isn't pollution wonderful?
Naturally we had to take them to Lucky's.
Wish we had a clearer picture of New Year's, but we were all a bit tiddly.
New Year's day we had a few people over, thus the food.
Maya was one of the people we had over.
Photo D'art, Theo's silver cup plus a few nice photos.
Theo enjoys his portable laptop table.
He also enjoyed getting anal with his cable.
Once we found our way home from LA port we had our stuff back, including the drums.
The new keyboard setup is very sweet, and takes up much less room.
"Out in back of Palmdale....", but it wasn't turkey, the Sturmanns fed us well.
By this time Pam and Paul had returned from Mexico with many photos.
Heaven help the mister, that gets between me and my sister.
Our twice yearly D&D game happened early this year. Not pirates this time, but dwarves.
We had no choice but to take Pam and Paul to Las Vegas. Here's Paris on the Strip.
Fortunately we did find places to rest up from the heavy gambling.
Still not sure why we were so attracted to this.
Elvis found time away from the Waffle House in Carolina to make a brief appearance.
Quark's bar was surprisingly empty, but it did have colorful drinks.
Sallie has developed a strange attraction to door handles.
The view down the Strip.
Make sure you are courteous when dobbing people in.
Yes, they do have pokies at the airport in Las Vegas.
