Sue visits LA 2005
That will be two cups of coffee and two breakfasts please.
Clutching the umbrella, Sallie and Sue get ready to face the world.
The obligatory breakfast at an IHOP.
Santorini's this time. Beware, there seem to be a lot of eating and drinking shots.
The lovely Krystral making sure there is room at the bar for us.
There is indeed room!
As well as martinis.
The old Dick still has some fans.
Another day another two more coffees, and two more breakfasts.
The (lovely?) Malabo is there in the background somewhere.
Sydney is that way.....
The trusty steed.
Why is it the dog always gets the most attention?
Have Ipod and blanket, will travel.
On our way to Vegas. Interesting town, dull road.
The new lake broke the monotony of the very straight and long road.
Just one of the many options for a stop near the border.
Many better options present themselves once to you get to the strip.
This was the option we had trouble finishing.
The standard is high for house bands.
Matching coats.
Elvis took a break from flipping hamburgers at Wendy's to have this picture taken.
Quark's bar can be a dangerous place.
The drinks can be dangerous also.
We got a green one.
And a blue one.
And nearly got beaten up.
Later, the girls screamed like teenagers at the piano bar.
Having returned from the desert, Sue got to see the snow on Mount Wilson.
Einstein once peed here.
Yes, it's another telescope. Sue was very patient.
Also quite photogenic.
Next day, it's straight on to Olvera street and China Town.
Venus beach was not crowded, but interesting just the same.
A must do picture in LA.
Some work was also done. Let's hear it for never escaping email!
Sallie too is hooked.
Theo will do anything to stay away from it.
When not using email, we talk on the phone.
Back to Lucky's, the rain forcing us indoors.
After Lucky's we took Sue to the local Hooters, for that true American tacky experience.
The food was OK, and it can be quite interesting.
Sue even learned to make funny noises with her straw.
Somewhere in here there is a desert.
This is what happens when your roof leaks.... more work for Gerard.
A final home cooked meal before we pack Sue off on an airplane.
Oh yes, and one more lunch out too.
Then it's packing time.
