2007 August/September The New Kitchen

  • First we had to remove everything from the kitchen cupboards.
  • The good Dr. T helped a lot with this.
  • It was all assembled in the living room.
  • Sallie likes bum shots.
  • The fridge was moved too. It now lives in the garage.
  • After all was moved, Peter and Sallie relaxed.
  • Fortunately the fridge still contained beer.
  • You find the strangest things when you move everything.
  • Lots of plastic did not save us from the construction dust.
  • All ready for the beginning of work.
  • Microwave ready to go.
  • Last minute check on the beer in the fridge.
  • The big hole in the wall begins, Kevor and Berj seem pleased with it so far.
  • The hole gets bigger.
  • And bigger.
  • First paint job complete.
  • With the second paint job done, Sallie is pleased with the new hole in the wall.
  • The floor is prepared for the new covering.
  • More prepared floor.
  • Still more prepared flooring.
  • The floor is in!
  • Ta DA! Jim is pleased with his work.
  • Sallie is also pleased with the colour selection.
  • The hole in the wall is complete.
  • Job done.... and we even paid him!
  • Sallie checks out the new kitchen breakfast spot.
  • This corner now contains shelves and a computer spot.
  • New washer and drier goes in. Note the absence of the hot water heater.
  • In comes the new stove and fridge.
  • Theo loves the new stove, and Jason and Martin were a big help.
