New driveway March 2010

  • The process begins, as it often does, with Theo's bottom.
  • OK, not taking it too seriously yet.

  • The digging begins! Now it's serious.
  • Out with the old driveway.
  • Bits of old driveway everywhere.
  • Smash it! Smash it!
  • Small but heavy machinery was involved.
  • We've got lumps of it out the back!
  • Sallie loves having workmen in her yard.
  • Patted down and nearly ready for the fill.
  • Our contractor Kevor checks things out.
  • Now you can even see the edges.
  • Sallie's prepared for the final pour.
  • ... and here it comes.
  • .... still waiting....

  • There' more concrete than house now!
  • Still more concrete.

  • Nearly done now.
  • I'm afraid that guy was stuck in the garage for a while.

  • After some confusion we got the lines in the right direction.
  • Nice diagonals.
  • All the way up to the house steps.
  • Ta da!
