Observing Spectroscopic Binary Stars

Discussion why spectroscopic binary stars can not be resolved visually.

The Mult-Telescope Telescope (MTT) at Georgia State University's, Hard Labor Creek Observatory (HLCO) is a unique design. This telescope has 9 telescopes working as a team together. Each mirror has an aperature of 13 inches. The combination of 9 such mirrors allows this one of a kind instrument to have the light gathering ability of a single 40 inch telescope. Each mirror feeds a polished fiber optic cable. These cables are feed into the spectrograph that is housed in the observatory builing in the background.
